Masala Tea

Good food soothes our taste buds, but a well made masala tea soothes our soul. Let’s relish the goodness with Pilk.

What you need:

2 tablespoon of Black Tea Powder (I choose black Assam magic for this)

1 cup of Pilk (get ready for soothing creaminess)

2 cup water (for mixing herbs and tea)

2 tablespoon Sugar (for taste)

Spices & herbs- ginger, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, etc.

What you do:

  1. Heat water in a pan till it starts boiling. Crush cinnamon, cardamoms, cloves and peeled ginger in a mortar-pestle. Add them to boiling water.
  2. Boil it for 2-3 mins and then add sugar as per your taste. Now add, tea powder or leaves and boil further for 1-2 mins.
  3. Add Pilk and boil more for 2-3 mins. Pour the masala tea through tea stainer directly into cup

Get ready for a refreshing cup of Masala Chai!

Pro tip- Don’t overcook the tea leaves as they will release their tannins and make chai bitter. Just cook enough to release the flavour.
